The SciBasics Stirring Hotplate uses advanced microprocessor technology to control both temperature and stirring speed. Samples are heated to the selected temperature quickly and accurately. Speed control is also precise, using a digital display with linked adjustment knob. Regardless of the selected stirring speed, it employs a soft start feature that improves the magnetic coupling of the motor and the stirring bar, thereby preventing splashing and irregular mixing.
The white ceramic top is chemically resistant, easy to clean and provides the best sample visibility, making it easier to observe changes and monitor reactions. Whenever the plate surface is above 50 degrees C, a safety LED lights up to indicate "HOT" and remains illuminated until the plate cools to a safe and comfortable temperature.
Each unit is supplied with a detachable electric plug and one magnetic stirring bar. An optional support rod can be installed in the threaded mounting port on the back of the unit.
